I am so excited to have you be apart of my 30th birthday celebration in the birthplace of my family! As you know (or should know) my birthday is in January but I wanted to center my birthday celebration around carnival given the significance. Carnival was created to commemorate our country’s culture and emancipation from Western bondage and, in a similar fashion, I celebrate emancipation from ideals that do not serve me and my continued journey of self-acceptance, love, and being. I look forward to feteing with all of you; be ready to gwan bad!
