September 16th - 19th, 2024
Day 1: After our trip in Anchorage we’ll continue the fun and jump on a flight to Fairbanks! Once we arrive in Fairbanks we’ll make our way to Chena Resort and Hot Springs. This is an ideal location to spend our nights viewing the Northern Lights and our days enjoying the resort.
Day 2: Today we’re taking the Glacier Discovery Train from Anchorage to Whittier! On the train we’ll get to enjoy the amazing scenic views Alaska has to offer. Once we arrive in Whittier, we’ll hop on our Glacier cruise and explore 45 miles in Prince William Sound. We’ll get a chance to see glaciers, otters, seals, and if we’re lucky, a few whales! After our tour we’ll take the train back to Anchorage and get some rest for tomorrow.
Day 3: Today we’ll go to Alaska Native Heritage Center to learn about the history and culture of Alaska’s indigenous people. After the museum, we’ll get to experience storytelling from some Black community members about their lives in Alaska and get to support some of Anchorage’s amazing Black owned businesses!
Day 4: Today the morning is yours! You can explore Downtown Anchorage, get a massage at the Nordic Spa, or relax at the hotel. We’ll meet up later today to go to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and see some animals we don’t always get a chance to see in the mainland U.S.A. such as reindeer, bison, moose, and bears!
Day 5: We made it to the last day! After breakfast we’ll make our way to the airport with unforgettable memories of Alaska and a new HBCU family!

Priced per person. If you’re booking as a couple (sharing 1 bed) or booking as friends (sharing the same room), book the double occupancy option in 2 separate transactions and list the name of you roommate in the registration questions.
