Desired Topics

  • Experiences you've had while traveling with your HBCU

  • How being an HBCU alum impacts your perspective when you travel

  • Saving money to travel or travel hacks you use

  • How you overcame your travel fears

  • Experiences you had traveling in the African Diaspora

Below we have listed our requirements for blog entries. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding them.

Blog Structure

  • A Blog Title

  • 1 Sentence bio about yourself

  • 2 to 3 Casual headshot photos (preferably a photo while traveling)

  • 250 to 500 Words per blog entry

  • Any photos you'd like to add to the body

  • Any links that are hyperlinked in the text

  • Blogs dues on the 15th of every month

When we are reviewing your blog, we will make any edits we see necessary.
Major edits will be sent back to you for your approval before being published.
Minor edits will be made and scheduled for a date to be published.

Major Edits

  • Deleting sentences or paragraphs

  • Rewording multiple sentences

  • Any changes that may impact the writer's voice

Minor Edits

  • Punctuation

  • Word insertion or deletion

  • Paragraph and/or sentence spacing
